Comcast Helps Power the Digital Home with the Launch of “Xfinity Home” Service in Denver
Comcast today announced the launch of Xfinity® Home across the company’s metro Denver service area. Xfinity Home offers traditional home security components, like police and fire alarm protection backed by 24/7 professional monitoring, as well as the ability to adjust digital thermostats, turn lights on or off and watch secure live streaming video from wireless cameras while away from home.

I have a philosophical objection to having a company from Philadelphia take care of my home security. I can imagine being robbed and having to wait two weeks for Comcast to help turn my alarm off. I'll take LOCAL for security. I have an alarm from Integrated Systems and can do everything from my iPad the article says Comcast is offering. And I already have it.
